Dr. Marie-Laure Yaspo

Prof. Charles E. Chapple began their academic journey with a BSc in Biology from the University of York, UK. They furthered their studies with an MSc in Life Sciences (Genomics) from Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona, in partnership with the renowned Center for Genomic Regulation. Their passion led to a Ph.D. at the same institution, investigating selenoprotein genes in eukaryotic genomes. Postdoc research at Université Aix-Marseille deepened their understanding of Systems Biology, emphasizing protein-protein interactions. Since 2016, Prof. Chapple has been a leading figure in Next-Generation Sequencing, mastering variant calling and annotation, reinforcing their mark in genomics.
